Our culinary lavender is organically grown in Canada and is a gorgeous blend of two types of English lavender specifically chosen for their slightly sweet, herbaceous, and gentle floral flavour profiles. The lower levels of oils in this species means a tempering of the strong, sometimes overwhelming floral flavour that comes with other types of lavender.
There are countless ways to experience the beautiful, complex flavours and colours, and infamous calming and soothing properties that this culinary lavender offers, including (but certainly not limited to):
- baked into cookies, muffins, breads, cakes
- sprinkled on top of charcuterie, cheese, dessert boards
- sprinkled onto teas and coffees
- infused into honey, simple syrups, dressings, beverages
- crushed and combined with a finishing salt
- seasoning meats and fish (sometimes used in place of rosemary)
As with most floral herbs, it doesn't take much to take your dish or drink to the next level!
