Nettle is a herbaceous perennial that can be found worldwide and is also known as Stinging Nettle due to its hollow hairs (trichomes) on the leaves and stems that can cause stinging, inflammation, and irritation upon contact. Dried, fresh, and prepared nettle has been used for centuries to promote healing, reduce inflammation, and maintain health.
Popular in teas, tisanes, and tinctures, nettle offers a light, earthy flavour that is sometimes described as similar to green tea. Our nettle has been sifted and cut suitable for tea bag or fine filter use.
